Yes, it works! I was trying to use different solutions. First I installed the Top Level Categories. That modified how the category links showed up, but it couldn’t find any posts for the categories. Next I read if you add a period for the category base it would work. Had the same issue as the Top Level Categories plugin. I am maintaining this blog after it was set up so it may have to do with that. Thanks again.

Hi,
Previously I was using a plugin called “Top Level Cats” for the same purpose. When I tried to upgrade WP to the latest version, that plugin started giving problem.

Thanks to your tip, I have now upgraded to WP 2.7.1 and everything is working perfect. Thank you so much.

@thinkjayant: Content always matter to me…including this thread ! I found this thread from a backlink from google and thought I would submit a comment as wordpress plugins are of interest to me….especially plugins concentrating on seo. Anyway, thanks and keep up the good work

@MWD: So tell me, do you write comments for Dofollow links or does the Content also matters to you? I had Do follow ON butgot tired of people commenting for just getting keywords stuff in their Backlinks. Right now, I keep switching Dofollow ON and OFF every now and then.

I strongly recommend that you turn the No Follow off in your comment section. I’ll watch Google Webmaster Tools, and if the links don’t show up after a couple of weeks — I won’t go back to that blog again. Another suggestion: you should have a Top Commentator widget installed. Do Follow and Top Commentator will ensure that you have a successful blog with lots of readers!
