How does it related to blogging? And why should you care to read? Let’s begin asking yourself, why do you blog? The reasons may differ vastly from taking blogging as a free time activity to getting rich quickly, and each and every one of them is fair enough. Now try to answer what you want from your blog? Most of the answers will revolve around getting recognition, having vast user base (loyal readers), generate money etc.

Smartblogtips is on the verge of major re-branding. Last week I have been figuring out how to take this blog ahead, before going full blast with the posts. I have been impressed with the average time spend by users for the posts on this blog. I was in two minds, thinking should I continue writing blog post which caters to advance blogging topics which links it to management and other theories. Or another option would be to write tutorials and contents for the newbie.

Smartblogtips have been upgraded to Wordpress version 2.5.1. This is the latest version as of the writing. Here are the notable changes from the previous version 2.5

1. Number of bug fixes, performance enhancements and one very important security fix. Vulnerabilities are not public yet but will be shortly.

2. Total of more than 70 security and bug fixes

3. Performance improvements for Dashboard, Write post, Edit comments, media uploading, layout for IE and usability improvements among others.

I would urge all administrator of wordpress blog, if using version 2.5 please update to version 2.5.1 immediately.

One of the most famous blogger Darren Rowse from Problogger.net (a blogwith a subscription count of 45k as of writing) has declared today, 14th April as Unofficial Blogger Appreciation Day.

Well i think this is a good chance for us, who are regular reader of some or the other blog, leave the motive behind and appreciate the Blog authors for their work and dedication.

Smartblogtips has just been upgraded to Wordpress version 2.5. Over the last couple of weeks I have been trying hard to replace some of my plug ins which no longer works in Wordpress version 2.5. After hunting various plug ins I was finally able to decide which ones to keep.

What more, I have also updated my personal site with a new template. Check out Thinkjayant . Many major changes are on their way and will be completed within a week.

I have been also busy writing on a topic, for which an idea originated from a research paper reading. Ever wonder how environment cues help influence blog reader’s decision making habits? Stay tune for it.

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". RSS is a web feed format used to publish frequently updated content including, but not limited to, blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts. An RSS Document contain either the summary or the full text from the associated website.

RSS content can be read through a software called as RSS reader / RSS aggregator / Feed reader. The user subscribe to a feed by entering the feed link in the RSS Reader. Now every time a new post / article is updated, you get the notification with the help of the RSS reader. Now you don’t have to monitor your favorite websites for new content updates.
