Weekend Blogging – it is an Art
The concept of Weekend Blogging is not new. Many of us slip into this world known as Blogosphere, where we keep our creative musings communicated to its virtual citizens. I am one among such millions cruising and surfing along the internet waves. Meet me.
Hi. I am Jayant or rather (Thinkjayant as they know me here). I pursue the art of weekend blogging. I do have a day job and I am not planning to give it up (like the thousand of make-money-online-authors tell you). Neither will I be preaching you to give it up. I like my day job and care for the learning it provide to me.
So why then get into Weekend Blogging
There are a lot many reasons. Some of them are the same as many others while some of them are unique to me. But let’s just rest with the following ones
• Lets you not give up day job
• Lets you still continue the passion you always wanted to follow
• Lets you have an alternate stream on income
• Kills stress – really
Why is it an Art or How is different from the regular blogging
I called it an art for a number of reasons. Most of the times, it’s not very easy to accomplish the feat. It alters your lifestyle to a large extent. Plus it is a pain to manage two things at the same time.
• You work on weekend but your blog / site does not
• Time management – it is the key ingredient
• Perseverance or frustration control as I call it when things do not gel well
• Finally, organizing the 7 day activity in 2 days
What do you do Jayant ?
It would be wrong to say that I am a newbie. Also it would be misleading to say I am a full blown expert. I am an IT graduate and had been doing numerous works for friends and professional clients. It ranged from creating networked applications to something as simple as designing a site. So lets just say my experience is somewhat mixed in this field.
On my own, I maintain this site and another Thinkjayant (which is just a fun blog). Apart from that I engage in Creating niche sites and lot of other online activities. I spend a sizeable time to research SEO techniques, Blog or site promotion, Link building among others.
